Evaluation Tips
Evaluations can be stressful for both players and parents, but the right preparation can make a big difference. Below are some simple tips to help your child feel ready. Keep in mind—skills won’t suddenly change at tryouts, but effort, attitude, and mindset matter a lot.
Encourage your child to stay positive, work hard, and enjoy the experience. As a parent, try to keep things calm and supportive. Avoid adding pressure, over-coaching on the way, or showing nervous energy—kids often mirror what they see. A quick conversation beforehand about expectations is helpful, then let them play, compete, and have fun.
